[:cry:] I want to add a CP "IE general" in the station configuration editor but I can't find itin the objects to insert. I have only: OPC server Application Protool/Pro RT WinCC Flexible RT. Should I re-install Simatic NET? Thanks.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, now you see IE-General, in the folder CP Industrial Ethernet, where it belongs to. The main issue is that the IE-General is only an Interface, not an Application. Best regards J_Bell

I mean that I want to insert an IE in station conf. editor, but I can't find it in the combo-box menù(see the image) Some days ago I was able, but now I can't and I don't know the reason why! J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, Yes, there is the Problem. Maybe an easy fix would be to uninstall the NIC in the Device Manager of Windows XP, to reboot and to get the Nic reinstalled... Usually this will solve the Problem. Do you have static IP Addresses? I hope you have XP SP 2 running. Best regards J_Bell

But I can't download in the station the hardware configuration, error message 33:385 "Driver già aperto o troppi canali aperti. Riavviare Windows". I have XP sp2 with static IP address. (step 7 5.3 SP3) Idont't really know what to do more. Thanks in advance.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Carlet, I am sorry, but the Forum is actually no Hotline. For such Questions the Customer Support is the better point to ask. One reason for such a Message could either be that another Application, for example STEP 7 is accessing the Network over this Card already. Try to check furthermore if any other Accesspoint for Application is using the NIC. If this did not help try to set the NIC in the Configuration Console to configured mode.
