problem with hmi tp 177 micro!!

Hernando Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	hi i use an hmi (tp 177 micro) to control a module feeder in a cotten gin but suddenly its no working right anymore. sometimes it speeds up and then suddenly it stops when it shouldn't. what should i do? i already bought a new one so would it work somehow transer from the old device to the new one and if yes then how? or could the problem be with the S7 200 instead of the hmi???? please help!!

Zunaid K Posts: 21 Rating: (10)	Hi Hernando from your post i gather you are using a TP177 Hmi in conjunction with a S7-200 Plc, to control the Cotton gin? if this is the case i'm 99% sure the problem is not with the HMi, it is very likely that the "Signals"/Inputs going to the PLC to Speed up and slow down the machine are being switched on atthe wrong times, it could be a electrical wiring problem. however if the HMi is resposible for starting,stopping speeding up the machine via "Buttons" it could well be that the HMi is losing it's connection to the PLC, but in this case the HMi will indicate the Plc Connection is lost. the best advice is to get a PLC technician out to Analyse the software online while the machine is in operation,i'm certain this will resolve your problem. Hernando Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	well it recieved an electric shock once and i think thats what started the problem becouse before it worked the way it should. Would it maybe fix the problem with buying a new plc?? we dont have a plc tecnician near here so we're trying to do it on our own.

RS232/PPI Multi-Master- cable (6ES7901-3CB30-0XA0).The RS232/PPI Multi Master cable (with 8 DIP switches) can be used if DIP switch number 5 is set to PPI/freeport ("0"). The cable must be dead for it to accept the change. Or USB/PPI cable 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0 can be used for downloading since WinCC flexible 2005 SP1! And backup made with Prosave is not editable and is possible to restore it only in the same type of panel as the source of taken backup. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Hernando Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	ok thanks when i bought the panel they sent me a cd with the whole programm which i need for this panel to control the machine but i have no idea how to use it so thats why i just wanted to make a backup from the old device and put it in the new one. any help how to use the cd???? the cd contains many files with the format .tar.bz2 and some .patch files and one .diff file and two .spec files but i have no idea how to use them.

Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Hello, I have no idea which files do you have of this CD. You want download the project from the old TP177 micro to new one? Then you make an backup with Prosave of the old TP177 micro and you make a restore with Prosave of the new TP177 micro. Tweety
