Problems by connecting the iot2040 with my Computer - no answer or the Connection timed out

Flach Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello there, I got Problems by connecting the iot2040 with my Computer. I tried to connect them with Ethernet (eth0 / X1P1). When I tried to ping the static address 192.168.200.1 with cmd there was no answer or the Connection timed out. I set the Address of my PC on 192.168.200.99. And they are in the same Subnet. (255.255.255.0) I also deaktivated my Firewall and used other LAN cable. Still no answer. Then I tried to connect with the eth1 and DHCP. In both cases the green and the yellow LED was lighting, but still no Connection. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Getting Started with SIMATIC IOT2000.

Flach Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I dont know how this was meant. The Text on the iot is: "This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1 This device must accept any interference, and 2 this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired Operation." My Iot hasn't a Shield yet. I also tried to connect my Pc the same way with the IOT-Trainer 2000 with an iot2020 and there i get a Connection. Then I tried to connect to the Trainer with the other sd Card and to the iot2040 with the Trainer sd Card. Only when i use the Trainer iot and the Trainer sd Card it works.

Flach Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I got it now! I just used a crossover cable and in fact i had to use the Shield to connect. So now I have a conncetion. Best Regards!
