Hi, it is not problem of WinCC V7. Only you use the S5 definition in your old project. It is necessary to create s7chn.ini file in folder WinCC\bin and into file write following entries [Channel] S7String=0 see https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=22014014&load=treecontent&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW Best regards Jaromir |

New question published by lorenzo80 is split to a separate thread with the subject Wincc 7.3, avoid array of char for every code or description. Best regards |
