profibus communication between cpu315 and eurotherm controleur whith sfc 14,15

S44 Posts: 123 Rating: (4)	hi, i m using sfc 14 and 15 for the communication between eurotherm controleur 2404f et cpu 315 and i m using a gsd that we made and test several times, but i've got a return error on my sfc -32591 (80b1)(The length of the specified destination area is not identical to the user data length configured with STEP 7.) but a don't understand , all seem to be good. i use this gsd in attachement thanks by advance if some one have a idea Attachment Eu2404Nx.zip (51 Downloads)

PeteB Posts: 16 Rating: (2)	The Eurotherm Profibus DP Slave that you are using is 7 words of Input consistant by "Unit" and6 words of Output consistant by "Unit". The SFC14 and SFC15 blocks are only required when you have a Profibus DP Slave that has consistancy set to "Total Length" and even then some CPU's can manage without it. The solution is to not to use the SFC14 and SFC15 calls and to read/write to the memory's directly using L/T commands (Load/Transfer in STL) or a MOVE instruction (in LAD). Please take care of whether the device is inside or outside the process image of the CPU. Thiswill change how you write your code.

S44 Posts: 123 Rating: (4)	hi, first of all thanks for your reply, i thought to use mpve fuction, like you said me, but it's shame because my controleur is in slave on my network and shame that i can't use those SFC, what do you meen by process image of the CPU. thanks and good w-e

PeteB Posts: 16 Rating: (2)	Hi, By process image I mean whether it is IW/QW or PIW/PQW access. If the address is within the process image (IW/QW) you can also use bit/byteaccess e.g. Q0.0 ro I64.0. If the address is outside the process image you have more limitations.
