Profibus errors and OB86 explanation

Kevbloke Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I have an issue with a machine. There are 2 x Stegmann encoders (Nodes 4 and 5) on a profibus circuit. Whilst the machine is running ioften get either node 4 or node 5 alarm which promptly stops the machine. press reset and away it goes again. The profibus is connected to a 412-1 CPU. I have changed all profibus connectors and ensured i have good grounding. The cable has been changed and so haveboth encoders. The power cables to both encoders are good and there is a very stable 24vdc going to them. I have run out of ideas. The machine resets everytime and so i believe the interuption to be very brief. Tha alarm is set in OB86. I have very limited knowledge of OB's and their useage and so i was hoping the expertswould beable to give me an explanationof whatis going on in this OB please.. Below is the code in OB86. Network 1 L #TEMP0 L B#16#39 <>I BEC Network 2 L B#16#C4 L #TEMP1 <>I A( L B#16#C5 Network3 Alarm n63 Encoder Profibus L LB 11 L 4 ==I S M230.6 Network4 Alarm n64 Encoder Profibus L LB 11 L 5 ==I S M230.7 M230.7 and M230.6 are both reset when the reset button is pressed for 5 seconds. This program also has OB35, OB81, OB82, OB84 OB85, OB100, OB101 and OB122. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Kevin

I think the code meanse: help on OBs --> OB 86 OB86_EV_CLASS = B#16#39/B#16#38 OB86_FLT_ID = B#16#C4 Failure of a DP station OB86_MDL_ADDR: Logical base address of the DP master OB86_Z23: Address of the affected DP slave: -Bits 0 to 7: No. of the DP station -Bits 8 to 15: DP master system ID -Bits 16 to 30: logical base address of an S7 slave or diagnostic address of a standard DP slave -Bit 31: I/O identifier The marked text is the request in networ 4 and 5!
