Profibus/Profinet Diagnosis in TIA PORTAL with a S7-300

Chulien Posts: 162 Rating: (8)	Hi, I would like to know if there are any special functions added in TIA Portal to perform simple diagnosis on Profibus/Profinet for a S7-300 (I just want the information Slave not present or Slave Error) or if I still have to use the good old PNIODIAG (FB126) with the filter function from IBN Services ? I saw that there were new functions for s7-1200/1500 but I wasn't able to find something for s7-300/400. Best Regards, Chulien

Best Regards, Chulien Depending on your desires, you could install an s7-1200 as an 'I-Device' that looks at your profibus/net networks and reports back any problems or diagnostics using the tools available in that tiny plc for network diagnostics.

Functionality is done in Firmware, and they had not changed. Softwareblock FB126 is not compatible in TIA environment. For Diagnostic in S7-1200/1500 a lot of new functions are available and also the integrated system diagnostic is much better.
