I am using version 12 of Tia portal and want to allow an input to pressed once then block every other press for a set duration. Ive setup up the timer and Inputs but not to sure how to set it out so it only reads the one push. Thanks in advanced Darren

Thanks in advanced Darren Hello Darren, You could use a off delay timer (simatic timer: S_OFFDT or IEC timers: TOF) to solve your problem. Upon pressing the button the output of your off delaytimer will stay on for a pre-defined amount of time. You could use the inverse of that timeroutput in an and port with you input, this would block the input for the time the timer output is on. Kind regards, Jens Attachment ldrlogic.jpg (76 Downloads)

Darren76 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello me again, I've put a NO for a switch and NC of the output before my timer and it all starts ok when I close the NO but the NC of the output doesn't seem to be working cause if the NO goes high again before the timer has completed it restarts the timer. The output is a coil writing to a memory bit would this be the problem? Also I'm using the IEC TOF timer Regards Darren

Also I'm using the IEC TOF timer Regards Darren Hi, I think I know what you mean... you must know that of a TOF timer: If input IN switches to "1" before the time duration PT expires, the ET output is reset to the value T#0s. So the timer will keep on restarting every time the input is set to 1". So to solve thisproblem you can take the output of the timer and set a marker with it, for example M15.0, now use M15.0 in an and port with your input. This will solve your problem.
