read power from profibus

foofbob Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	hi, i want to read power, current etc. values from micromaster drive via profibus. i know a little bit sending and receiving from cpu. but in drive monitor which parameter must set and what value. and what must be the hardware setup( for example 0 pkw 4 pzd or 4 pkw 4 pzd etc.) thanks,

For example I usually useMM440 with PPO 1, 4 PKW 2 PZD, meaning I'll have 4 word data area for acycliccommunication and 2 word for cyclic communication. Next issue is communicating with profibus, these manuals can help you. Micromaster Profibus Optional Board and Sample FB to communicate With the manuals, hopefully you can get/set data from/to any parameter withinMM4x via Profibus. So to know which parameter is the rated power, current, etc you'll need Parameter List (e.g MM440). Cheers, Bang_Kee

foofbob Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	thanks for answer, sometimes it is difficult to understand siemens manuals especially if you are rookie. the thing i couldn't find was drive monitor part, but i found it. in binoctoren/connectoren menu -> connector inputs -> P2051 there are 8 words available. if we double click one of them, we can choose which parameter we want to see. this is PZD i think. bang_kee said pkw is acyclic and pzd is cyclic. now i will try to understand pkw from manuals, if i can i will write comments about it.
