hello nabeil, to give the MM440 the possibility to control an encoder, you need to install a Pulse encoder evaluation module (6SE6400-0EN00-0AA0) there are two possibilities for remote control: 1 via terminal blocks 2 via field bus system; there for you have several possibilities: PROFIBUS module 6SE6400-1PB00-0AA0 DeviceNet module 6SE6400-1DN00-0AA0 CANopen module 6SE6400-1CB00-0AA0 If you are using the terminal blocks pls use external 24V supply, for the internal supply, 50m is to much load. (the set up can be done also via soft ware tool STARTER; down load http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10804985/133100; you need to have a Connection kit for PC to inverter 6SE6400-1PC00-0AA0, or you can do it by using PROFI-Bus) |

Hello nabeil; I hope I understand your problem correctly, that you simply want a remote operator panel, such as your BOP, but located 50 m. from the drive. In tyhis case a solution might be proposed: The BOP uses RS-232 to connect to the drive, so it will be limited by the parameters of this type of connection, even with a panel-mounting kit. The AOP, however, allows connection through RS-485 (as you can see by reading the following FAQs) so that could work: a distance of 50m will be OK, and you can control up to 31 drives over a single AOP, if need be.(each drive has its own network address, so you will connect to one at a time). AOP RS-485 settings http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6313369
Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
