hi jruz1, Profibus is always in a line where (small) stiches going to the nodes. The Profibus pluges are usually designed that way, that the line is not interrupted when plugging a node off. So technically your customer is right, you just needed to plug it off. In the SW you need to use the D_ACT_DP instruction to deactivate the Profibus-node: How do you enable and disable DP slaves and IO devices using the "D_ACT_DP" instruction? So you can easily reactivate the node, if it is needed in the future again. hope this helps, regards, |

Hello, Thank you for the info. Would you mind to resend the link, it just leads me to Siemens Error "Industry Online Support is currently not available" Let me see if I get it right. Do I still need to remove the node from the hardware configuration, or not? Or, do I just have to insert this D_ACT_DP code and no need to remove from the hardware config? The physical connection, just unplug and no need to turn on the terminator there? Thanks again. |
