Replacing CPU928 with CPU948

rherrero Posts: 26 Rating: (1)	Hi everybody, did anybody of you make this change? I've tried yesterday with no success. I got "basp" lighting and "stop" flashing. I've read this "https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?aktprim=100&lang=en&referer=%2fWW%2f&func=cslib.cssearch&siteid=cseus&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objaction=cssearch&content=skm%2Fmain.asp" where it says what you have to do to carry out the change but I don't have much experience. After changing the CPU i went to the DX0 and selected the right one (it gave you some choices to select the right CPU) BUT..... This document also says that instructions like TNG are not available in CPU948 but the programm I'm working with was no created by me and how can I know if those instructions are being used without go through all the code? Hope somebody can help me. Anyway, thanks in advance. Have a nice day.

jklm Platinum Member Joined: 12/22/2006 Last visit: 1/25/2022 Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, Before assuming that there is a TNB operation, I would try to read the Istack and BStack with STEP5 to detect why the CPU948 goes in STOP. Starting from there you will have at least an indication in which direction you need to investigate.

rherrero Posts: 26 Rating: (1)	Hi edr, Im still waiting for the next shutdown to try. What do you mean with the TNB instruction? To be honest, the program wasn't done by me from the begining so, i dont really know wheather there is this instruction or not... thankssssss

rherrero Posts: 26 Rating: (1)	Thanks for the help. After a few small problems, i've replaced 928 with 948..... I'm now in the next step, the visualization in the panel OP17..... I've got a couple of errors: $040 NOT PLC, and $115 PLC RESTARTING ..... I've changed in the project of the OP17 (with protool) from 928 to 948 but when I download that's what I get... The communication between 948 and OP17 is profibus The line had to start so, I've changed everything back to 928 and wait for the next shutdown ... I dont realize any further information I can write here to describe the problem. Hope this is enough. I've checked the website looking for those errors that i get but couldnt find anything. Thanks in advance.
