Replacing T400 in Masterdrives

We have a spare drive and a spare T400 module which we want to keep ready for replacement. Can anyone tell me, how to take an upload of T400 module ( We are not aware of the exact software loaded in the module. ( It only has two Encoder inputs). a) How can we take a backup of the existing T400 and download it to new T400 module. b) How we can take a backup of the T400 parameters. Thanks

Maybe you can use D7-load, but I think it can only be used for programming a T400. b)Use Drive-ES to read out the technolology parameters (through the CUVC!), You can access the technology parameters like the ones from the drive, just set the technology bit in the read commend(s) you sent to the inverter.

I understand from SIMATIC Support that you can possible use the "Load from MC" option from within D7 if the software is not write protected. I tried but this did not work in my case. I could however finally locate the original Software of T400 in old version, which I could load in new T400 after version conversion. Best Regards Navnag

But I cannot compile it without error in Simatic software.It is giving more than 500 errors.This backup program actuallyis in T400 card and it is running correctly. Why is it giving too much errors? We would like to prepare a spare T400 (loaded also program inside) incase of a problem about T400 card.We just wonder how can we compile and how can we download program to T400 cardsuccesfully? Secondly, we have a spare T400 card in hand. However, this spare one does not have an small eeprom on it. Actually, the existing one has. Do we need to order it seperately? If yes, why is this eeprom is being ordered seperately? What is the special function of this eeprom? Thank you in advance.

There are some hardware issues of the T400, so the layout may vary. But there is a chip socklet on the board, in this socket a programmable chip can be pluged in. This chip can be used as dongle or hardlock to prevent somebody is copying the application.

Try to update yout T400 program to your version. somewere in "extras" you will find a list of imported and used libaries.Updated the used libaries (mark them in the list and and klick on update)
