Request 4 wire pt 100 wiring connection to SM334

Elite Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Dear Expert, I would like to connect 4 wire pt 100 connection to SM334-0KE00-0AB0 Unit Modules. In my hardware setup, firslty i configure measuring type R-4L. I connect PT100 sensor to channel 0 ..2(red cable), 3(red cable), 4(white cable) and 5(white cable). my problem is i can see analogue values at channel 1 even though i connect in channel 0. so i think, my hardware configuration is wrong. so i change to RTD-4L in hardware setup. After that i see out of ranges at channel 0 (32768) and channel 1(-32768) . So kindly advise me and any samples wiring will be very much appreciated and will be helpful for me, please! I have s7 300 module data manual but i quite not understand about Pt100 4 wire connection.

Attached a picture how it should be wired with 2 sensors, for 1 sensor you can try this: White wire at 2 red at 3 and 4 White at 7. Best regards, Marcjan Attachment 4-wire.pdf (645 Downloads)

Marcjan Platinum Expert Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 5/3/2024 Posts: 5697 Rating: (715)	Hello, You can find the colours in the PT 100 datasheet or you use a multimeter to find the 2 combinations that giveaprox. 107 ohm at room temperature one pair is the resistance measurement other pair the compensation leads. ankur_gajjar Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Dear Marcjan, I have measured the resistance between two leads of RTD. Surprisingly, it shows 166 kilo ohms at room temperature between two leads which are brown and blue. So, what could be the problem? Regards, Ankur
