RF310M Problem

BJames Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I've got a Siemens mobile RFID reader, the RF310M, 6GT2803-0AA00, and it boots up properly but when I place a tag on it and try to read, the status goes 4% to 5% then 10%, and then back to 5% and bounces back and forth between 5% and 10% until I get a timeout error. Same happens for writing or any other tag-based command that I give it. I've opened the back and all the ribbon cables are fitted correctly so I don't know why it isn't working. Help?

BJames Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Siemens RF 340T. I know it works with that type because our other readers can read the tags. Its just this one doesn't want to do anything.

BJames Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	More RF 340Ts yes, its the only type we got, but we have a lot of them. I'm confident the tag isn't the issue, since it will act the same with or without a tag present.

Options -> Extras -> Address Setup: configure the address you want to read from and the lengh Options -> Extras -> Tag Type Selection: selecte the tag type you are using ("8K Byte FRAM" in your case). This is explained quite very good in the operating instructions: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26009421 But I think we can't be sure if it's not just a hardware defective.
