RFC1006 - S7 resetting connection

doctor73 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi I am writing a test application for a Siemens S7 from a PC using RFC1006. I have it configured to make an active connection. It connects to my application. There are two things regarding the CR TPKT that I find strange: - There is a source reference (ASCII "D1") where the specification states that this should be blank. - There is a parameter (code 0xC0, 192) - this is not specified in RFC1006 or 983. When returning a CC TPKT with the server TSAP (in this case the application TSAP, the remote TSAP for the S7) with the server TSAP, as it specifies in RFC1006, the S7 closes the connection. As far as I can see the TPKT is OK. How can I troubleshoot this?

CR/CC TPDU: DLen(1byte Length of CC/CR PDU); CO(1byte Function code: 0xe0 for Connect Request (CR),0xd0 for ConnectConfirm (CC)); DST(2byte Destination connection reference); SRC(2byteSource connection reference); CL(1byte = 0x0) Parameter(xbytes C0 : TPDU size, C1: Local TSAP, C2: Remote TSAP; they can be in any sequence). 0x4431 (ASCII "D1") is a normal (Always) response SRC from S7-300/400PLC; 0x1430 will be from S5CP1430; 0x5334 will be from S7-200. For C0(TPDU size) you have 0xC0(TY), 0x01(Len 1 byte), 0x0A(suggested TPDU size 2^10 = 1024bytes) In response you have suggested 0x09 (max 512 bytes). Maybe you can attached Ethereal captured packets in here. I tested with200/300/400 PLC and it works all the time. If you play with TSAP for S7 Protocol you have to pay attention at rack/slot/resource of the PLC. If not PLC will reject the connection. If youjust doISO on TCP connections (not S7 protocol) you have to match TSAP from STEP7 NET-PRO. Dec
