ritentive data error at startup CPU1507S on IPC

when powering on the IPC4227 with CPU 1507S , there is an error in the retentive datablock that are stored on the harddisk of the IPC and so all retentive data are lost. See image.

Any solution ?

Sw is developed with Tia V16 , CPU1507 firmware is 21.8 but actually on IPC is 21.9.

I will try to update sw to TIA V18 to use the updated firmware, do you think it will solve?

If you choose to store the retentive data on harddisk, then the softcontroller needs to be shutdown in an orderly fashion, meaning you MUST select shutdown controller before you can turn off the IPC.

Else the retentive data is seen as corrupt when the softcontroller starts up again.

An IPC can be ordered with NVRAM. If your IPC has NVRAM, then select the NVRAM option and you can turn off the IPC without shutting off the controller because now it has time to save retentive data to NVRAM.

You still have a potential issue with the Windows file system if you just take the power from the IPC which is why a ups is always recommended for a softcontroller so that it can shut down windows properly.
