Run and Stop S7-1200 without any software

Lukman_Albanjari Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have problem, some analog input trouble and that is make cpu stop. How I can run the cpu without software? I have try to turn off the cpu and turn on again, but the cpu still stop. How to solve this problem, because s7-1200 not have switch for run/stop. CPU 1214C AC/DC/RLY SM 1234 Thanks Lukman

Create Web Server for CPU and you can check "Diagnostics Buffer" or even can give RUN command by accessing CPU IP address through any Web Browsers. .

Nelliyan randy Posts: 461 Rating: (29)	As pranav said u can access the diagnostics buffer & cpu to run form stop , if u have activated webserver already in that CPU..IF not u have to get the software to know the status caused this problem & also to put the cpu in run mode.. Go to Properties -> Startup Change parameter: "Startup after POWER ON" to 'Warm restart - RUN' Best regards, Wizard

CPU 1214C AC/DC/RLY SM 1234 Thanks Lukman All the prior posts are helpful but you really want your cpu to NOT stop on analog input problems, right? Add a hardware error handling OB to your project and have it do something to check/handle errors, or do nothing other than keep your plc from going into stop mode for hardware open/short circuits. Of course, you will want to do as others have said and add the warm restart / run option on power up and enable the web server so you can restart the plc from a web browser. The best thing to do though is trap and handle the error.

Gerdoo Posts: 23 Rating: (2)	Hello Lukman, Further to others comments which you need to try, if you want to switch a stopped CPU to RUN when you do not have TIA software, you can use S7-1200 IP Tool. This tool has been basically designed for IP modification, but has also the option to change CPU mode to RUN/STOP. I have the same problem, but I still can not download the SIMATIC STEP 7 software, can someone help me determine how to change the S7 PLC to RUN mode since we have already checked all the inputs are OK. 0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/19/2024 Posts: 15406 Rating: (2446)	Since you have already read and understood the hardware faults in your plc diagnostic buffer (you read it and figured out which analog signals were causing the plc to stop), and you have now verified the signals are in fact working just fine, why not disable the faults associated with the analog signals causing the plc to stop? You can create a hardware diagnostic error (HDE) OB to handle the errors within the plc logic, and it will not stop for the hardware failures unless you decide it should in your HDE OB. I always add a hardware error ob the plc keeps running. Ilanza Mr. Luckman: Could you change the STOP mode to RUN mode without the software at last?
