Hello kassem; There are few posts on this forum that discuss this issue (or its reverse, running a 60 Hz motor at 50 Hz supply), and quite a few on the web. Look them up. One that I like a lot (it is clear and direct) comes from US Motors: http://www.usmotors.com/TechDocs/ProFacts/50Hz-Operation-60Hz.aspx Bascally there is a cost in speed and heating of the motor when you run it at a supply frequency it was not designed for.The articlerecommends derating the 50 Hz-ratedmotor for continuous use on 60 Hz supply.
