Hello, I need an advice from expert. HW configuration: • S7-1200 (1214 DCDCDC) • S200 PN + Motor + Absolute Encoder Application: • The PLC must control the movement of a rotary table by implementing, in principle, the following functions: - Axis zero (with digital zero sensor) - Jog movement forward and backward at a certain speed - Absolute movement to a certain position at a certain speed - The software must continuously monitor the motor torque value - HW extra-travel management (managed directly by the drive??) Software development: - From your experience, given the above, is it better to use the motion technology object with the related MC_ blocks or the SINAPOS function? - Which telegrams should be used for positioning and torque control? - Do you have an example of an application with the S7-1200? Thanks and Best Regars

Hello, there is an example. SINAMICS S200 PN: Torque application via Telegram 750https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109821017 Further info: SINAMICS S200 PN: Speed control with SIMATIC S7-1200 using a GSDML filehttps://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109821015 |

Even the S7-1200 PLC itself does not have native torque monitoring capabilities, the S200 PN drive should be able to provide that functionality. The PLC can then read the torque feedback from the drive and incorporate it into the application logic. |
