S210 drive screams during jogging

Richard_HvA Regular Member Joined: 12/1/2019 Last visit: 6/24/2022 Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I've installed two S210 drives in a deltarobot. A S7-1511T plc controls the machine. Sometimes during jogging or move commands, the S210 drive/servo motor start screaming very loudly! I've recorded a movie: Movie S210 screaming Does anybody know what's happening and how to solve it? (I have the idea that it has something to do with the PID settings or the communication between S210<->PLC.) Thank you, Richard

Which telegram are you using for CPU-S210 communication? If you performed the one button tuning already, then just perform a factory reset of the drive and make a new testrun -> result? The One button tuning seems quite aggressive; I I was afraid the machine would vibrate apart! I performed several one button tunings and sometimes the same screaming noise was produced during the tuning. What kind of motion/sound/vibrations are normally to be expected during a one button tuning? I'm using Telegram 105 for all S210 drives.

No more loud screams! Thank you for the help! Do you have any idea why an auto-tuned PID would result in this?

Could you please just check to perform a one button tuning with torque pre-control is disabled? That means, set P5271 => Bit 4 to “NO” and that deselects the pre-control for the torque then.
