S210 Motion Control, Technology Objects & OB80

Hi,

I have a project with 10 servos on, S210s.

I want to control these servos in a very basic way, just simple motion control, encoder zeroing, run to absolute position and then return home...nothing extraordinary.

I am using technology objects for this, however, when I go above 7 or 8 technology objects my PLC (1515F-2) goes into fault where it has exceeded the 150ms cycle time threshold (OB80).

I have tried Telegram 3 and Siemens Telegram 150, but both give me this problem.

Is my PLC not powerful enough for this many servos? Is there a way of not using technology objects and using FBs like I would in a G120?

My send clock is already at maximum of 4ms, I have ran out of ideas what to try :(

I have tried with DSC enabled and disabled.

Any help appreciated.

Reduce the time between the TO calls, up to 4ms, and try staggering the TO updates, say one TO call every 0.550ms.

 Thanks for the reply, where can I change these settings? Is that the TI/TO values that you can set manually? I had them set at automatic minimum.

don't know if the issue is still present or solution still needed, but anyhow...

The question here is wherefrom your high cycle time exactly comes. Might be the technology objects (TOs) and the corresponding OBs MC-Servo and MC-Interpolator, might be some other OBs or program parts.
