ntban Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	Dearall! I'm working with projectas follows: Control and supervise three air compessors of AtlasCopco via DP-Bridge(Combox-P). Three air compessors connected to the ComBox-P in the Can-Bus side.The Main controller is S5(CPU955) with the Master Profibus DP module is IM308. Can anyone who has experience in this matter give some information, such as may i control and access data from these air compressors, how do i config them and what is use to config?, What do Imust programming in theS5 program? where I can find the manual?! Have anyone got the project files about this project sample?! Please send to me! nguyenthacban@gmail.com

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello ntban, now we know more about it. What you need to configure the IM 308 C you have is the Software tool COM PROFIBUS V 5.1 (Order# 6ES5895-6SE03 or 6ES5895-6SE21). The latest Version of it is V 5.1 + SP 2 + HF 3, I think. This Software configures the DP Master System and downloads the Configuration to the IM. For the Combox-P you need the GSD File. This file should, if the Slave is a certified DP Slave, be available from the manufacturer. This GSD File has to be imported to the COM PROFIBUS Software before your configure the IM. I have been read all manual that you recommend with me and some thing that I find out on the NET as GSD file, the User Guide for Profibus on Elecktronikon Combox-P manual file ... That help me to understanding alot , and I have been created myself project by Comprofibus But there are something that I can't uderstand, Please looking at the word attach file. I was working so hard but I really don't know the relation between the Input and Out put in the Profibus Slave on the Comprofibus config AND the data in the Canbus side thanks! Normally there is a tool to program such a box and then is data from Profibus DP connected to CAN bus. Do you have more information of the box you are using, there must be somewhere in the description a clue how to couple the data to the In- and Outputs on the Profibus DP side. Can youplace the GSD-file on the forum, maybe that there is some more information in it.

thantzawwai Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi ntban, U need to do send a data buffer to COMBOX-P. Then COMBOX-P will reply with data. Data buffer contain 1 byte of header + 7 bytes of data record. 7 bytes of data record is broken down into 1 bytesfor CAN address + 2 bytes for profibus parameters + 4 bytes of actual data. Header is then again broken down into three parts. bit 7 and 6 is sync. bits bit 5,4 and 3 is function code bit 2, 1 and 0 is error code. to read data function code is 1. Well this is all from the Combox-P manual. If you don't have you can email me and I'll send it to you. U should read it up. :D

Ihave tried alot to finding something but there are nothing.That make me to reach an impasse. The bigest of my wonder is the way that data(I/O) go from Canbus side through the bridge (Combox-P) to the S5 CPU (profibus-DP side). Because this system was old , so I have not formal manual and catalog,software, config tool ...It's mean I must find all of these on the Internet .But there are nothing. Please help me more than!
