S5 FB With S

There is no program commands at FB208 but It has been used at PB10. best regards. Please tell us what S% CPU you are using, and if there are special modules in the rack that could be using your FB. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 9/22/2023 Posts: 2987 Rating: (1033)	Hello amuratdemir I agree with Daniel and judging by FB208's name (PT1) and parameters it fits the the description in theS5-100U Closed-Loop Control manual(see page 104) and can be easily replaced with something like the software low-pass filter in STEP 7 V5.x example(butyou'll find more PT1 filter examples with a search here). My problem is, there are some Fb's at program and there isnt any commands in it. So We cant understand what the block is working for. For example FB 15S. BeVee Gold Member Joined: 7/18/2011 Last visit: 6/9/2023 Posts: 521 Rating: (88)	Hi amuratdemir, Those FB's with S are Standard blocks that perform specific tasks: like number convertion, arithmetic, PID control, scaling of analog signal. Most of those blocks don't belong standard by S5 but can be bought separately. Siemens provide them with kind of Know How Protection, that's why you can't see any code. Most of those blocks can be replaced by other S7 functions. Sometimes one single instruction (multiplication, number conversions,...). Sometimes by function of S7 library (scaling, PID,...). Check alse S5 to S7 library. Before you start worrying about them, first make sure that they are called by the program. Check also if the calling block is called. If not you can delete them without problem. Maybe symbolic list can tell what their function is. If not you'll have to analyse their parameters, look at function name and search for description on support site. Kind regards, BV
