hello Walid; A very similar requets was answered recently, most suggestions could apply to your project: /tf/WW/en/Posts/30858 A quick way to configure your S7 hardware would be to use the A&D Mall's Configurator for S7, once you can define the requirements for your S5 module replacement (voltage and currentlevels, number of points/channels): https://mall.automation.siemens.com/WW/guest/index.asp?aktprim=0&lang=en&nodeID=5000008&foldersopen=-854-855-2837-1366-1-1367-1368-1369-1387-&jumpto=1387 The OP20/248 is a S5 2 line, 20 character text panel. You can use an OP 73, newest generation of such panels; it also has some graphic qualities that coulb prove useful. Of course, you can look at all newer panels, they can all be used with S7 CPUs: https://www.automation.siemens.com/hmi/html_76/microsites/panel-innovation.htm You will find the OP 73 in the "Replacement of OP 3" link at the left of the page. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Walid; From the S5 to S7 Conversion manual: Comparison of Module Parameter Assignment in S5 and S7The following table compares the module parameter assignment in SIMATIC S5 and SIMATIC S7:
Basically, you can (and must)create your hardware configuration for S7 CPUs in Step 7's HWConfig editor, look at section 3.4 in your conversion manual; this is where the modules are attributed addresses when you insert them. These basic addresses are not mandatory, and you can change them to suit our requirements, unless the choices contradict the Step 7 requirements. If you want to select I/O addressing that totally matches your old S5 configuration, you can. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Daniel; this time problem with me is determining the equivelant Module for the DIGITAL I/O CARD 6ES5 482-4UA11, i can't determine any equivelant Module for S7 400 to replace it , OR I can use seperated input module, and another output one ( with the same ratings of theS5 Module , and the number of channels ) regards |
