Hello, for each station you need ether a S7-1200 or a ET200-CPU. The powerles on each CPU is dependent of the numbers of inputs and outputs and the size of the STEP 7 program. Regarding programming of communication there is also an FAQ in the intenet: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/38051505 With best regards |

hi again, reference to my attached network topology design: which design is better: option A: the PLCs at the central site (where the HMI) are Modbus master and the PLCs at the remote field sites are Modbus slave, and that Modbus slaves will get real-time data from the SEPAMs slaves via Modbus. Option B: all the PLCs in the central SCADA site (where the HMI) are Modbus master and the PLCs at the remote field sites are Modbus master also, and the that Modbus master will get real-time data from the SEPAMs slaves via Modbus and I think the communication protocol between PLCs will be PROFINET.
