S7-1200, update from V3.0 to V4.0 and cannot login to Siemens webserver

Stam.JEH Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	William B. huggy_d1 Using the right MMC Version 1.0 can be updated to Version 2.2. To get to version 3.0, you need a new PLC - different part #. The latest is version 4.0, and yes, it is also a different part #. Carefull.. please allow me just fill in the detail that was implied. The jump to 4.0 is huge - hardware and firmware (as was the case with 3.0). You can not get to 4.0 via 3.0. w Hello experts, just read your posts and thinking that may can help me with my problem. I just update from V3.0 to V4.0 and cannot login to Siemens webserver. Before update, I was able to login with username "admin" and with the password that I set. I use CPU 1215C DC/DC/DC 215-1AG40-0XB0. Also, I read in a Siemens pdf file that the S7-1200 V4.0 CPU does not support the former pre-configured "admin" user and password. Do you have any idea what's wrong and could you suggest any possible solution? Thank you in advance. ---------- New subject after splitting from firmware Update.

See the System Manual (version 03/2014) page 604 paragraph 11.2 It's done.. I'm really grateful Larry.. You saved plenty of my time.. I'm still new to PLC world and hope to reach your level and help other colleagues in the future. Thanks a lot again.

Are you the designer of the PLC program? It is very possible that you already have the answer. LarryAm I think that you need to configure the user name and password for the web page (there is not a default user name and password). See the System Manual (version 03/2014) page 604 paragraph 11.2 Also see the attached image for extra help. This shows a default activated user profile list. You need to create user profiles with various permitions. Does this solve your problem? w
