S7-1500: Insufficient memory on the memory card

 

Hi everyone,

I've got the following problem:

when I try to load program PLC gives error:
"insufficient memory on the memory card for this amount of data"
I use 4Gb Siemens SD card for CPU 1215SP F-1 PN

Te question is that I can load HW separately, but when I try to load Software I got the error and then available amount of memory on diagnostics rises to 76% (does not depend on download program size)

+I tried to ldownload blocks separately and got the same error;

+I tried to load program straight to SD but it did not work;

+I checked program size and it is only about 3.5MB- so it sutes the card;

+I formated card in TIA portal in order to clear it;

What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Memory card 4MB, load memory used 55 o/o.

There is insufficient memory on the memory card for this amount of data.

What was your solution?

Split from Insufficient memory on the memory card.

Get a larger memory card, like 2gb.

More than just your project's load memory is stored on the memory card.  That is why 4MB way too small.  If you have a 4gb Siemens memory card and it still does not work, that is different.
