Hello, yes, I think it's enough for functionality as standard access. I recommend check again carefully possibilities of Slave block (how many I,O, how long Holding register,... can offer) and be prepared for consultings with partner side, I expect simply user defined requirements also from Master side probably. Holding register is that place in this case, you can then write there and also read some possible data from Master. This need to be negotiated clearly of course because of possible mistakes/wrong data of misplaced areas. Start now some cfg and prepare some schema as master want from S7-200, start master PC SW (web or here in Forum) and you can be pretty prepared for future. Update: this is what you need: How to set Modbus with S7-200 |

@Duris_I I found out that the devices (DI/DO) that need to be shared via Modbus are all connected in CP 243-2 AS interface expansion module of the PLC. Seeing the wiring diagram, there is only one (1) signal that is terminated in the S7-200 CPU226 that is related to AS interface, that is named (MCB AS-i supply). What does this mean? Is it still possible to have access with these devices that are connected in AS interface for Modbus? I'm not really familiar with AS interface. I only got few days left at the site, please help. Thank you |
