scbe Experienced Member Joined: 6/3/2009 Last visit: 10/24/2024 Posts: 101 Rating: (7)	Dear Forum member I had S7-400 R system working fine. CPU & CP with 5no. DP Slave with one Wincc. If Master is failed, reserve is act as Master(Switch over) is taking place and CP also. If DP Slave is faulty then also IM, CPU all are Switch over. Fine. If DP Slave is faulty then also IM, CPU all are Switch over. But CP which is communicating to Wincc is not getting Switch over. Why ? Can any one help me..........................................

Why ? Let me summarize your problem by these words: "When the Master/Reserve CPUs are switched the connection in Wincc is lost." What your procedure at Wincc side ? Fine When CPU has some problem Reserve PLC takecare andWincc is communicating to CP(Reserve PLC) and Vise-versa. When Master IMhas some problem Reserve PLC and it's IM takecare andWincc is communicating to CP(Master PLC) and Vise-versa. Why ? But Wincc Communication is not lost all parameters are visiable and working fine.

Raednabeel Posts: 96 Rating: (7)	Dear Wincc, By way of advice, you need to give more details about your project , like : 1. The type of Redundancy you use, (Hardware, Software) 2. If you can upload your project, or at least the part no. for CPUs & CPs. 3. The method you used in WINCC redundancy. I hope anyone help you. Good Luck
