Hi, We have S7-417-5H configured in redundant mode. Like this total 6 AS are available, installed in different panels, configured independent of each other. System is in service since 2015. Some times, the standby CPU of the redundant set, fails with all LEDs flashing. The other CPU enters solo mode. In this state, failed CPU can not be connected through Engg station. CPU becomes normal only after Mres operation. anybody facing same problem? Can someone suggest me the reason and remedy for this. Thanks in advance Regards Mohan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello dear friend The issue that you mentioned may happen for two reasons: 1. It is possible to encounter it by inserting wrong memory modules in each CPU. If the case can be solved by a power cycle without any battery, the CPU is OK to use. (According to Mr. mdhosseini an experienced member of this site) 2. Another reason (All LEDs blinking) relates to the Firmware Updating. In normal mode, by upgrading The firmware of CPU(f.e: firmware from 4.5.3 change to 4.5.7 ) the problem will be solved. Both CPUs (Master and standby) firmware must be the same. Note: if the problem after upgrade the firmware not solved, downgrade both CPUs Firmware to the previous version again. *** You can find out the Firmware of CPU just by searching CPU name in google (for example/Upgrade 6ES7414-4HJ04-0AB0 Firmware). |
