S7 CPU 222 - SCADA set up

michaelT Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I need some help regarding this set up. Wehave a CPU 222 PLC, USB -PPI cable.I want to communicate with RSView 32 SCADA. Is this possible? What is the requirements in this set up? My objective is toset up PLC -SCADA system using s7 200 CPU 222 PLC Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you Mike

Hello michael;
You will need to look at an OPC connection between the PLC and the SCADA; the RSView 32 user manual suggests this type of connection:
-on the SCADA side, install an OPC client: RSLinx Gateway
-on the PLC side, setup an OPC server:

SIMATIC S7-200, PC ACCESS V1.0 SP1, OPC SERVER F. S7-200, SINGLE LICENSE F.1 INSTALLATION R-SW, SW AND DOCU. ON CD, 6 LANGUAGES (G,E,F,I,S,CH), EXECUTABLE UNDER WIN2000/XP, REFERENCE-HW:SIMATIC S7-200

Then follow the instructions on creating OPC topics and connections in the user manual:
