we have the below s71500 hardware installed. we supplied 24vdc power only to the PS module. but the CPU displayed power fail, and could not detect the memory card. so we supplied 24vdc also to the CPU, then all was ok. question: doesn't the CPU get all its internal power from the PS through the inner backplane bus? 6ES7505-0KA00-0AB0 , SIMATIC S7-1500, SYSTEM POWER SUPPLY PS 25W 24V DC, SUPPLIES THE OPERATING VOLTAGE FOR THE S7-1500 VIA THE BACKPLANE BUS 6ES7516-3FN01-0AB0 , SIMATIC S7-1500F, CPU 1516F-3 PN/DP, CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT WITH WORKING MEMORY 1,5 MB FOR PROGRAM AND 5 MB FOR DATA, 1. INTERFACE: PROFIBUS, 10 NS BIT-PERFORMANCE, SIMATIC MEMORY CARD NECESSARY 6ES7954-8LL02-0AA0 , SIMATIC S7, MEMORY CARD FOR S7-1X00 CPU, 3,3 V FLASH, 256 MBYTE
