Same CP for other communication?

Enigma Posts: 49 Rating: (18)	Hi Wüstenräuber, I have a PCS7 system with standalone architecture with only one CP443-1, I have only one ES-OS single station with CP1613.I am communicating them through Scalance. My question to you would be, canI use the same CP443-1 for MODBUS TCP communication to third party PLC (Through Scalance)? If yes can you please guide me to a documentation which explains the architecture and configuration details.Preferably application note ifit exists. I am using PCS7 V6.1 SP1.Please let me know if it works fine with the same. Regards, Enigma

For the communication via ModbusTCP between S7 and a third party device (plc or another) you need only a free connection for your CPU/CP in NetPro. Have a look at the manual for the configuration: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/22660304. It's not difficult. Really! And hereOpenModbusTCPin tab "Download" you can download a trial version for testing. Wüstenräuber
