mangesh Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	hi i am facing problem in SCALANCE X408-2 that i cant access the switch through GUI mode all the details of switch & the screen shots which i taken while confugring the switch through CLI mode also the .txt file of the switch is attached. i am connected my LAPTOP to the switch through RJ45 jack also i have confugered IP & SUBNET for the switch but i cant acces the switch through GUI mode. so please help on this issu.

Which RJ 45 jack do you use, the one at the CPU or one of the others? 2. What do you see if you enter the IP of the Switch in your browser? 3. Do you have JAVA installed? Just to start with. mangesh Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	hello sir, actually i am trying to connect SCALAN 408-2 through PST tool v3.2 but i am getting message that "NO DEVICE DETECTED ON NETWORK" also i tried with simatic manager through accesable node but still no progress so do i need to upgreade version of PST from v3.2 to v4.0 also i install DLS protocall on my laptop. i attach switch confugration please go through the same. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well... I do not know but I think you have not the latest version of the SCALANCE X408. To update to the latest Version, V3, you may use: SCALANCE X408-2 Firmware Update to Version 3.0.0 On the other hand, sadly I do not see what you get if you try to open the HTTP of the SCALANCE with the browser. So let me ask how many Ethernet NICs do you have in this PC? What IP Addresses do you have there, do you use DHCP or fixed IPs? Best regards J_Bell

mangesh Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello Sir, Tanks for your support Now i can access the Switch And i confugerd the same As the problem is with the IN/OUT Bands ports of the switch X408-2 while confugration the switch first time we should remember that all our OUT band ports on Switch are free they must not engage with RJ-45 jack and our Laptop/PC should connected to the INband port of switch through a RJ-45 jack. and then you can access the switch through PST V3.2 or V4.0 THANKS MANGESH........
