I have a long background in designing/configuring network with Cisco equipment and have a question on how a Cisco feature "no switchport" translates to Siemens Scalance switches.

On a Cisco IOS/NX-OS Layer-3 switch I can use "no switchport"-command on a Layer-2 switchport and it becomes a routed-interface. It stops speaking spanning-tree and cannot be configured to do so either.

Does Siemens Scalance Layer-3 switches have this functionality?

This is useful for creating designs where you want Layer-3 separation between multiple segments.

Got my hands on 8 of Scalance XC416-8 and can confirm that they indeed has the "no switchport" or "routed port" feature.

Currently having some ARP issues och L3 point-to-point links after reboot, still investigating this issue.
