Dear experts, Because of the distance between the S7-1500 PLC and S7-300 PLC , it has been decided to use instead of the PN-PN coupler two Scalance switches X206-1 . These two switches will communicate through a fiber optic cable . I have attached a network layout sketch . Now obviously the logic considering S7-1500 outputs as S7-300 inputs in order to be transferred can no longer be taken into account since the PN-PN coupler has been replaced with the 2 Scalance switches . In my understanding , what William_B has suggested at the beginning of the thread , meaning using the PUT and GET functions of the S7-1500 CPU to send/receive data to/from S7-300 CPU now makes sense for this new network configuration. Even though it's not going to be a direct profinet connection between the two CPUs I see no reason not to use PUT and GET function in order to communicate with S7-300 PLC. Is my understanding correct ? regards aney_312
