In STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V11, how can you scale integer values in real numbers and real values in integer numbers for analog measurements?

[2] TIA can handle lower version projects. You open the earlier version project just like you can open other projects (within the TIA software) Go to the "open project" and browse to the project you need to open - go into the folder and get the APxx extension. - xx represent the version number.

The only trouble with the above instruction in TIA13.1 that cannot be opened with TIA13.0. Both use the AP13 extension.

If the extension is ZAPxx - then the file is an archive project. THAT is opened through the "retrieve" option under "projects" button inside the TIA software. Again higher versions can open/extract lower versions.

There is one snag... If you have a lower order license (BASIC), you cannot open a project that has a PLC / HMI that needs a higher order license. For example Step7 Basic will not open an S7-1500 project.

Hi.

I have a CPU1212 and I need to scale for input signal ( 0-10 V) and unscale for output signal ( 0-10 V) . i used your scale file. but the file could not be added to the library. My TIA in V13. Would you please send me the SCALE and UNSCALE library for 0-10 V ?

If you need to scale your A_IN just implement this formula:
OUT = [((FLOAT (IN) – K1)/(K2–K1)) ∗ (HI_LIM–LO_LIM)] + LO_LIM
Where your K1 = 0 or -27648, K2 = 27648, HI/LO your engineering values.
You can also use LIMIT function on your IN value with K1/K2 to protect against under/over range.
