Scripting for logging real values

Hi

I have been playing around with the example as laid out in:

To be honest it is my first experience wth VBScript.

This works great for the integer values in the example but when I apply it to a live application where I tried to log real type tag values via the smarttag connections (to CSV), the  format doesnt come out as expected in excel.

Is there something I need to do differently to log real values correctly? Declare then as reals at the start of the script maybe?

I have attached the file from my live log for reference of what I am seeing an have included what the values should be as in the PLC.

I have also attached my script for reference.

Hello JT,

I think the problem is in the "Else" part.
You can see in your logfile, that your numbers are divided where a "." is present:
...,25,35084,... should be ...,25.35084,... .

Check your delimiter in the language settings of windows:

"Start Button > Control Panel > Region and Language > Formats > Additional settings > Digit grouping symbol". Depending on the language you can choose between "," and ".".
WinCC uses this setting when logging tags.

Thanks for this, I made the change in the comfort panel settings, Regional settings.

I changed the decimal symbol from "," to "." and it works fine now.
