Sd card getting corrupted after download CPU 1516TF-3 PN/DP

Update your S7-1500 PLC to the latest firmware available (you do not need to modify your Portal project).  That should correct the problem.

NOTE: Unless you are using Portal V18 and update your project's PLC firmware version to v2.9 or 3.x, you will receive a warning every time you download to the PLC (which you can ignore) about the project and actual PLC firmware do not match.

As long as the actual firmware is >= to project firmware version, it should work fine.  Plus, the latest firmware corrects some cybersecurity type issues - in case that is additional incentive to make the change.

Recommend installing latest firmware to your S7-1516TF-3 (like stated in other topics).

I am having a issue with CPU 1516TF-3 PN/DP that after the first download of fully compiled new release project to a working machine PLC. I am no more able to do second download with some changes/Hotfix. TIA shows loading window and there is no way out even after waiting for 45 minutes. Also infinite loading if I try to go online .

Therefore i had to do a Memory reset and format SD Card. And redownload the previous working version to PLC and everything works fine.

After going online diagnostic, It shows there  SD card was corrupted.

Initial  guessing from download preview something is wrong with OPCUA ? as the download preview is showing. Also, I have some changes to OPCUA server configuration with this release.

Please provide your feedback to this issue.

what about to try another SD card? Maybe your card is defected.

I am using TIA v17 and firmware version 2.9.x. So you are recommending to update FW to 3.0.x ?
