Hi there I am having a confuse as i am using a semiconducter fuse of 3NE for the armature current of DC drive(550V DC & 50A) will work properly as the rating mentioned on it are upto 690V AC & 50 A??please help me out as it is urgent

In 3NE Siemens uses Sliver as a arcing medium where as in HRC its copper and hence before thyristors sees high s/c current silver melts and protects it against bursting. Thats why its always recommended to have 3NE in the incomer of Drives.
