Neither of these helped me. We have PCS7 8.2 environment, two redundant WinCC Servers, two clients, OpenPCS7 and Software Toolbox OPC Top Server 6.8. All other OPC Clients from all computers in our PCS7 network works perfect with TOP Server, all but WinCC Servers. Also, while making a connection to TOP Server on Engineering station, it regularly browse network, list the available opc servers on a selected PC, smoothly create tags in WinCC that read tags from TOP Server, everything normal, except, when I click Test Server at connection properties it says: Server is not active, cannot be reached by the computer network or does not support the OPC interface! When download to servers, the connection is established then lost, established then lost, every, like 20-30 seconds (I see values, then yellow triangle). After several changes in DCOM we don't have this anymore, just yellow triangles and also alarm that connection is not established. We setup DCOM, opcenum, Top Server, as Software toolbox explained, then we used other proposals, now this two proposals, but nothing and I was really happy for this changing opc server name with this CLSID, but no luck.
