Hi. Thanks. It is not obligatory to you to send a controlt word, you need to set (in Starter) some bits, only not use PPO-type telegram in HW. Best regards.

stevennoppe Posts: 65 Rating: (1)	Bhaskaran If the greying out of the field is the problem then first select telegram 1, save the file , then change the telegram as user defined with exactly the same length. You should be able to see the connections. Can you explain this a little bit more pls? Is this in Starter or in Simatic Manager HW Config? I still can't seem to get rid of those greyed out fields

stevennoppe Posts: 65 Rating: (1)	ok, I finally begin tounderstand how this all works, just a question though : I have to send a word to pzd1 (control word), right? for example : W#16#47F or W#16#47E to start stop the drive but where do I find those words? 47F is 1151 decimal and 47E is 1150 decimal are these the parameters explained in the list manual? (If you ask me, no?!?) what if I want to change the "OFF1 enabled" which word do I have to send then?

stevennoppe Posts: 65 Rating: (1)	I understand, but what if I want to send a control word from the PLC to the drive to set the OFF1 parameter to 1 What word do I have to send then? Or if I want to change another parameter in the drive?

You can control the enable signals via parameter r46. When you send 16#47e all enables should be set except the off1 bit, then you sen 16#47f and all enables should be set. Regards Christoph
