Hello, I would like to use SFC 82-84 in order to be able to write data to the flash MC on my 400H system. Are these functions available on a 400 CPU? I see they are listed in the S7-300/400 System And Standard Functions Manual (http://support.automation.siemens.com/US/view/en/1214574) but not in the S7-400 Instruction List (http://support.automation.siemens.com/US/view/en/23904435). If these blocks are unavailable in the 400 CPU OS, then is there any other way to write data to non-volatile memory on a 400H system? Thanks, jkur |

Hello jkur,
These SFCs are neither supported by S7-400 nor S7-400H (Check instruction list of S7-400H).
To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible. I hope you don't mind my intrusion, why would you like to write data on memory card of H-CPU?! Best regards. H-H |

Hello jkur you can do it via thethe good old fashioned manual way and the two FAQ links below have more on this (and just like H-H I'm not aware of any program driven automatic way to do so): S7-400: Saving the user program to FLASH EPROM when the module is slotted in the CPU How can you write the program to the FLASH Memory Card when using a SIMATIC S7-400 CPU? I hope this helps |
