siemens Control 840 D:

1. If the machine teach reference then all axis of reference will be fixes , but

reference's reading is greater than 4000 mm on X-axis,why?

2. Which parameter used to control the X-axis reading?

 Hi, I don't know why you want to change X axis ref. reading. If you know your m/c very well, you can set any reading as you like, otherwise call your m/c manufacturer to help you.

However I can help you to modify X axis reference value , but it is all at your own risk..

Make sure write down the old value before you change any thing , that will give your chance to going back. If you know how to back up NCK , that will more safety.

OK--you need know password " SUNRISE". go to  "START-UP"-->password--> set password --> then -->Machine Data--Axis MD--then search for MD# 34100( or it is better using page down).make sure you see "X axis" name on the right top of screen. or you need using Axis+/Axis- to find it.

MD34100[0] is for indirect measuring , and MD34100[1] for direct, you will find which one has the value of "40000" after write down the old value, you can change as you like. after changing press "Reset" key on MCP, then you need run reference for X axis again . X axis will stop at the same position but the reading will be NEW one as you set.

The machine backup has been lost and i have restored the backup, after this machine is ready and  reference function has been done for all AXIS but  X.AXIS  reading disturbed (Total X AXIS bed is 1200 mm). When start the reference position X AXIS travel, its show reading (Plus side), so the reference reading is not according to the sitution which is required, the desired reading must be in (Minus) , where as the X AXIS optical encoder show the reading in plus.

Q No.2            How to synchronize the motor encoder and optical encoder?

Q.No.3            How to  save the optical encoder reading DBX?

Hi dear 

I think 12000 mm or 12 meter long your machine working area. 

 I am not sure what are your Q's exactly.  but try to guess and give your help.

Q1--MD34101=1--> starting REF with "-" to minus, =0--> starting with "+" 
need press "reset" button after change
Q2, and Q3, I need you check your m/c configuration --do you have encoder on the motor only or you have linear scale as well.
you can also check MD30200=1 or 2--1 means only motor encoder 2 means you have linear scale.
for encoder type check your motor name plate--1FT6xxx-xAxx --inc.enc. xExx--abs enc. or you have m/c manuals --I need to know you use incremental or absolute encoder or scale.
also you can check MD30240=1 inc. =4 abs.

 What is your m/c problem now?

you need double check  MD30240[1]=4 or 1.

I don't understand what your question, why you need cancel encoder reading?

I just guess you want to switch from 1st encoder to 2nd one.

Siemens has DB31.DBX1.5 for 1st encoder and DBX1.6 for 2nd encoder (or scale)

That is not easy to change as PLC program inside system controls them.

As your previous answer, My question is that when i enter a new value in absolute encoder it is added in previous values in HMI screen.

For example m/c start from 0 ref. and reach at 60mm.Now on HMI screen it shows us in 1000mm.

MD34101 parameter is not present in MD-Axis and MD34102 parameter is present in.

I use absolute encoder.
