IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (994)	After Installation TIAV13 UPD6 on a W7-64 PC, Irecieve the errormessage "siemens.automation.objectframe.filestorage.preloader Error in application". According to this http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/58527185 I do delete the Run-Entry for SiemensAutomationFileStorage and the problem disappear. Does anyone know this Problem? The SiemensAutomationFileStorage is just a preloader for speeding up aplikation start?

In my opinion, TIA portal just allocates the memory for its process and the registry key to Run this procedure after each restart have some conflicts with other software, which may decide this process as "potentially hramful or unwanted".

I think topicstarter did read this info, and question is not about "what he did to avoid error" but "why and where from error comes". Moreover, if you reread my post, you will find an answer about conflicts with other software, which may decide this process as "potentially hramful or unwanted".

I think topicstarter did read this info, and question is not about "what he did to avoid error" but "why and where from error comes".... Exactly. Itwill be nice to know what the process is good for and if deleting is the final solution. The problem seems to be known by Siemens for years, perhaps there are some new informations?

If conflict comes from incompatibility issues with other type of software (e.g. Symantec, as stated in manual), you can just add preloader file located at: ..\Portal Vxx\Bin\Siemens.Automation.ObjectFrame.FileStorage.Server.exe to exclusion folder.
