SIFIPIC controller fluctuating alot

HI,

I am using SIFIPIC controller for MIST EP.

Its mA and kV are fluctuating alot.

Are there any parameters which I can change to stabilize the readings and operation of the MIST EP.

The fluctuation of ESP voltage/current values is due the detection/presence of flashover inside the ESP. The voltage/current values are decreased after detection/reaction to a flashover and thereafter the cntroller increases the values again until limit for primary current value, secondary peak voltage value, minimum thyristor angle (30°) is reached or another flashover occurs. The number of flashover detected/handeled can be viewed at the menu Measured Parameter (Normal FO).

Increasing number of flashover can be caused by changed ESP operating/process conditions or ESP machnical faults (electrode misalignment, increased particulate layer, ...).  The number of flashover and therefor the fluctuation of ESP voltage/current values can be limited when limiting the set point for secondary peak voltage and/or primary current value to a value below the ESP breakdown value or primary current respectively (see parameter Vs-limit and Ip-limt at menu Parameter).

Because the main controller components for the SIFUPIC F thyristor controller are not available any more, we recommend the upgrade to the new available controller generation SIPREC. With the upgrade only the controller components inside the control cubicle needs to be exchanged. With the new SIPREC controller the maximum number of flashover can now be adjusted via parameter setting.
