Signal modules ambient conditions

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Good day Guys, I am confused about the capability of Siemens S7 signal modules with stand against temperature ranges. I would like to know what the maximum ambient temperature is recommended for the Digital and Analog modules of S7-300 series. It is no where mentioned on the Datasheet. I can see for SIPLUS modules it ranges upto 70 Deg. C. I would like to know the same for the Normal modules. Best Regards, Waqas Ahmed

Hello Hike;

Modules and CPUs in the S7-300 family are also offered in a Siplus Extreme version, adapted for harsh ambient conditions.

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Thanks guys, So what i analyze is that upto 60 C i can use the normal modules as far as the installation is Horizontal which is the case in my application. You can see that the ventilation openings are pointed to the top/bottom, that's why they can operate in a higher ambient temperature then when mounted vertical, better airflow. Regards, Marcjan
