SIMATIC IOT2000 I/O Shield on IOT2040 questions

according to the linked document D7 (IO7 in the table) is mapped to linux pin 38.

1. Am I right that if i want in linux shell set the pin to high, I just overwrite /sys/class/gpioXXX/value to "1"?

 That`s right, but you have to do some steps before 

1. Export the gpio38 -> then the gpio38 is present under /sys/class/gpio 

echo "38" > /sys/class/gpio/export

 2. Set the direction to "output" 

echo "out" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio38/direction

 3. Set 0 or 1 to the pin in order set the output 

echo "1" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio38/value

echo "0" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio38/value
