By now they have computer inastalado SIEMEAS P, model 7KG7600 performed in which the energy monitoring, want visulizan all data be stored in a database on a PC. So I ask: 1. - I need to know if this component is still a long time to buy the market? 2. - What would be the replacement model for installation on an Ethernet network? 3. - As this requirement could make with this team I have currently installed? Here is a webpage from Siemens Energy showing the models of Simeas P available today. http://www.energy.siemens.com/hq/en/automation/power-transmission-distribution/power-quality/power-monitorin-devices/sicam-p.htm?dlsearch=1&fiProductFamily=Power%20Quality%20and%20Measurements&fiProductName=SIMEAS%20P50%20%2F%20P55 I am not sure the P600 isstill available on the market; thereplacement modelfor the P600would be the P55. You can validate in the catalogs available in the Download section (link on that same page). 2. I do not believe there is a Simeas P model designed for Ethernet: they offer Profibus-DP, Modbus-RTU, Modbus-ASCII or IEC 60870-5-103 as integrated protocols. 3. What would you like to do with this new model, read a new circuit and input on the same PLCnetwork? or do you have something different in mind? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

For now my client has only one of these installed equipment but the idea is that in the future many more are installed, keeping the data for each module on a server. What I have in mind is to offer the newest model of this equipment to not have to replace in a few years, and provide a setting reliable network. A S7 300 PLC in the PROFIBUS would get data modules, this ethernet communication with a PC as a server would store the values of each module. Some sujerencia. Thanks in advance, greetings!

dchartier Grandmaster Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 12286 Rating: (2685)	Hello Urantia; Your idea of collecting the data using Profibus-DP CPUs would work well, what you have to do is make sure you parametrize the data exchange in order to collect the data you want to collect, See the following manual, Chapters 2 and 3: 7KG7xxx Description Communication Protocol Now, once the PLC has the readings, it would be easy to transfer them by Ethernet to a PC that would archive the data and produce trends as required, WinCC (v. 7.x, for example)would be one option to consider, as it will easily be connected to Siemens PLCs and equipment from other manufacturers, and will archive the recieved data very efficiently.It would also produce alarms on the process, if required.
